At the fansign the seating order was
nana jungah eyoung lizzy uie gaeun juyeon raina
I went through the fansign with my crappy simple Korean.
We all began from Nana. I brought two albums up. One for me and one for my friend Ray.
When I reached Nana, I said “annyeonghaseyo”.
Me: Shelly.. Taiwan fan.. went to Japan to watch the concert.
Nana: yes~ shelly unni~
Me: yes shelly unni…
(then she kept repeating my friend’s name like a broken record while staring at me in the eyes)
Me: (nervous) Yes and this is a letter from an Indonesian fan Ayu.
Nana: gomawayo! hmm.. you’re pretty
Me: ah.. thank you (she is totally being nice. Cute!)
At JungAh I started talking about my friend Ray.
Me: annyeonghaseyo. (talks about Ray then shows her a short note and accidentally leaves it on the table)
Jungah: (smiles sweetly) Ahhh Ray~ (stares at note and reads it. I had two albums so it was difficult to handle. But Jungah was fast and grabbed Ray’s album herself while she read the note. Then she wrote a PS without me asking)
Jungah: you’re Ray chingu~ (smiles very sweetly. Totally an omma ><)
Next it was Eyoung and she surprised me with her energy. I was still trying to carry Ray and my albums thinking which one was which. Eyoung saw me then she stared for a bit then..
Eyoung: AHHHHHH!!! AHHH!! (opens eyes super wide in recognition)
Me: ahhhhh…? (I was supposed to talk about a friend but Eyoung’s reaction surprised me so I forgot. And Lizzy started creepily humming to herself from beside Eyoung)
Eyoung: AHH!! last year…
Me: y-yes… (shocked)
Lizzy: (started muttering from beside Eyoung) Ah….Sharon… Sharon
Eyoung: and LIZZY!! (turns to Lizzy) Lizzy….last year…
Lizzy: yes yes that’s right~ (looks back at Eyoung)
Both: uh huh that’s right.
Eyoung: ahhhhh you’re pretty.. (signs my album)
Me: Uhhhhh… thank you
Lizzy: Sharon….~
(Shows her a sticky note that says “is it okay to draw a picture~” in Korean)
First part of our conversation all in English.
Lizzy: (she reads note) DRAWING! I have your drawing!
Me: huh?
Lizzy: (Not listening and starts doing something on the sticky note)
I have your drawing. Drawing!!~
Me: Drawing?
Lizzy: Your #1, #2. (gestures with finger)
Me: ohhh (touched) thank you lizzy T_T Ah.. but can you draw.. me?
(Lizzy still not listening and signs my album. Then she starts drawing my face on the STICKY NOTE… and not on the album lol dummy. So cute)
Me: no… not there uhh.. ah… ohh.. yes ah…drawing
Lizzy: ahhhh i have i have. DRAWING DRAWING!

Me: Lizzy unni.. I don’t speak Korean well.. sorry.
Lizzy: no~ it’s okay (looks up at me and smiles)
Me: but I learned a little busan dialect (This was part of a joke I prepared and the result was…)
Lizzy: ahhh (still busy drawing)
Me: “How are you doing” (in a weird but supposedly accurate busan dialect. I asked many korean fans about my tone. I said it with a funny face to make her laugh.)
lizzy: huh…? (repeats after me)
Me: ._. hmm.. have you eaten? (busan dialect)
Lizzy: ahhhh “have you eaten” (corrects my accent)
Me: (crying inside) Lizzy unni ggalihandae (“you’re cool” in dialect)
Lizzy: huh? (can’t hear)
Me: (repeats but louder)
Lizzy: (repeats ggalihandae)
Me: (crying inside x2) gomapdae (dialect for thank you)
Lizzy: gomapdae! (smiles)
(fanmanager rushes me to Uie)
Me: Ah… Uie unni…(begins talking to her about my friend from Canada who she knows)
Me: Yes I came from Canada…
Uie: (eyes super SUPER BIG HUGE wide) AH REALLY!! Lizzy fan?
Me: Yes. I went to Japan to watch concert too
Uie: ah!! (signs) thank you. You’re pretty
Me: ah no no no. Thank you uie unni T.T
Then at Ga eun…
Me: yesterday’s prerecording… you did well.
Gaeun: thank you
Me: … flashback~ (decides to be dumb and does her ending flashback hand move.. it was a dare T.T)
Gaeun: oh thank you. (smiles)
Me: ._. oh…
Then it was Juyeon
Me: (starts talking about my other Juyeon-biased friend from Taiwan and that I came from Canada)
Juyeon: Canada?? OH OH! VANCOUVER! i know i know Vancouver. You know Vancouver?
Me: yes but I live in Alberta
Juyeon: HUH? EL..EL.. I know vancouver!
Then it was Raina…
(forgot what I said to her because she was last ><)
