I always saw some comments about After School who isn’t very close to each other because of newest members. But i think, after all T-ARA controversy, this is time to think about our beloved AS.
1st of all: AS Original members know each other for the longest time, so they seems to be the closest.
2nd of all: It’s easy to see that every new member feld awkward near to ‘AS Original’.
UEE’s situation: Only one, who feld comfortable with them after a debut was UEE. Maybe because of that she used to be in original line-up, but ended up in second generation. She was and is super close to Juyeon and Soyoung. Now she is the most popular member in Korea.
Raina’s and Nana’s situation: When Raina & Nana debuted, they were used to stand near each other, act shyly near other members. But after a short time they were aclimated. We all know that Nana was Kahi’s and Juyeon’s favourite maknae. Raina who seemed to be shy and cute member in time became friend with Jung Ah. Also, she was Soyoung’s friend in her trainee days. Now, they’re power of Orange Caramel with Lizzy, as well as After School.
Lizzy’s situation: She, naturally wanted to be a new member, who don’t let After School down. She was very nervous at first (so she talked with her Busan accent), but she find friends with Raina and Nana, who joined before her. She hadn’t problems with her AS-unnies or even with other maknaes.
E-Young’s situation: At first she was friends with Bekah, who graduated last year. After that she didn’t have someone for close friendship, like JungHi relations. But in time, she became friends with Orange Caramel.
Kaeun’s situation: She seemed to be like 2nd UEE at first. She feels comfortable with Jung Ah and E-Youngie, who is her roommate. I think that for E-Young she’s like Bekah.
There were moments, when some fans were saying that one member don’t like other. Just like that situations on line UEE-Raina (Raina’s jealousy over UEE) or Kahi-Kaeun (Kahi doesn’t know about Kaeun). I think that every rumor like that makes their friendship even stronger. So, AFTERSCHOOL! FIGHTING! [one-fine-spring-day]
As a playgirlz, i’m glad our girl loves each other.
Of course they do fight sometimes, but just teasing and for sake of having fun,
unlike T-ara who gang up against a single member even their company is involved.
I’m not saying AS is angelic group, but we know they are too kind to do horrible thing to others.
ofc kahi knew abt kaeun, it was just mixed up by some fans so the rumor she didnt know was created. but ofc kaeun was already training with them.
as much as i miss kahi, i think since her graduation the members only got closer and even the fact jjung and uee dont live with the others cant change that… though basically i think for their comeback they moved back into the dorm
I agree with blackberry that kahi of course know about kaeun, bcoz in some old interview she stated that kahi her self n pledis boss will choose the new member, n tell me MV can u see that kahi it self teach kaeun how to drum perf.
mean while when they hav problem with other member jooyeon said they will go to Jungah omma in sin sang dong. so as always jung ah is the peace maker ^^
but I think Jungah, jooyeon n uee not moved back to dorm coz they all had move into a new house in Soeul, but jooyeon some time sleep in AS dorm too. in some AS fan tweet that Kahi is still live in a dorm but shes been busy doing solo project n went to vacation alot. Appa, we miss u so much….. ;’(
a lot of people misunderstood about Raina said regarding uee…she’s just saying that cameraman capture uee while she was actually singing that line..and uee is the center when perform BOY.. its not that raina don’t like uee..uee and raina is close because uee is very nice..she treats her doingsaeng very well..
I think what makes AS different from all the other girl groups is that they had 2 already very mature members who set the standard of how everyone who enters should be treated. And the members who followed really did admire/ respect them. This is different than how most idol groups are put together.
The whole point of AS was to nurture a different kind of female idol. A strong female who is independent and sexy and rather fearless about it. Seeing as how Kahi was bullied as a young dancer when she first started wouldn’t stand for that kind of behaviour in her own group. Sure there are arguments and that’s completely normal and healthy in any relationship you have.
I truly do believe that they have the Unnie/ Dongsaeng relationship they say because you can clearly see the older ones taking care/ having fun with the younger ones. And the younger ones really looking up to, respect and admiring the older ones and looking to them for answers. That’s the biggest difference with AS vs other female idol groups; the role models really are leading and nurturing the younger/ newer members – as opposed to everyone following blindly what some department thought was a good idea.

Well, I’m not surprised. Bringing in more new members is bound to be awkward but eventually they will get closer. I will always miss OT5 AS in 2009 though ;___; and I guess UEE too…
i don’t know, but i think there’s some “gap” between e-young and lizzy-nana. i rarely saw eyoung and lizzy or nana had some conversation or do some skinship. I saw eyoung and nana in the video “making of” Bang! Japan Version, they had some conversation but it looks little bit awkward, i think. and in every show eyoung almost never stand afgter lizzy and nana. She always stick with kaeun (or raina).
