After School gave their thoughts on their graduation system and that it isn’t always necessarily a bad thing.
The brief interview was for the August edition of Cosmopolitan. Recently, the original leader Kahi graduated from After School and a new member Ga Eun joined. Also, Jung Ah was chosen as the new leader.
After School’s most recent album “Flashback” is named that way to show that they want to show a strong and sexy image the same as when they first debuted.
After School stated that after Kahi’s graduation, each member felt more responsible for the group’s success and ended up trying even harder. They also stated that it is sad when a member graduates, but because a new member comes in, the system allows them to receive attention once again with a different color.

Great news! After the departure of Kahi a big question for After School was “Who is going to be the next leader?” Well it looks like the problem is now solved as Jung Ah has received the torch. She is the eldest member and now the leader!
After School’s entertainment agency Pledis stated on July 18, “Jung Ah who is the eldest and also a part of the 1st generation of After School was chosen as the new leader and the decision was unanimous. Jung Ah will conjure up her leadership that she has been using to keep the group together.”

Recently, After School’s U-ie shared stories about her first kiss on mnet’s “The Beatles’ Code Season 2.” MC Shindong(Super Junior) started, “U-ie had her first kiss when she was a high school junior.” U-ie confirmed, “Yes.” Shindong continued, “With a trainee?” to which U-ie also answered, “Yes.” When asked if he became a celebrity, she explained, “He did debut, but I heard he is no longer active the industry.”
The response piqued the emcees’ interest, and they started investigating U-ie for more information about the mystery man. Shindong stated, “It must be during your Five Girls’ days. Do those members know who it is?” Looking slightly worried, U-ie replied, “Yes.” Afterwards, the MCs mischievously talked amongst themselves, asking whom they should call to find out.
Netizens commented, “So who was her first kiss?” “Wow, didn’t expect her to talk about her first kiss on air,” “Tell us more,” and more.

U-ie revealed that her measurements listed on her official profile reflect her true height and weight. After School made a guest appearance on MBC Every1’s “Weekly Idol,” congratulating the show on its one-year anniversary. During the “Looking Back on Profiles” segment, the girls opened up on their true measurements.
Regarding her 168cm (5ft. 6in.) and 46kg (101.4lbs), Joo Yeon stated, “To tell you the truth, this size is impossible. I can reveal my weight by stepping on the scale right now.” It’s been said that she did go on the scale during the recording and confidently exposed her true weight.
The MCs then took a look at U-ie’s profile, which stated that she is 171cm (5 ft. 7in.) tall and weights 51kg (112.4lbs). U-ie proudly explanied, “Honestly, when I first debuted, that was not my weight. However, now my size matches up with my profile.”
During the episode, After School also divided into two groups – older sister vs. younger sister – and had a random dance battle. On the July 17th episode of SBS‘ ‘Strong Heart‘, Super Junior‘s Kyuhyun and After School‘s Lizzydiscussed the times that they were unrecognized as celebrities.
Lizzy shared, “I regularly commute by bus and because I wish to be recognized, I go around wearing full makeup. But there’s no one who recognizes me. Even when I stand in front of advertisement billboards that I feature in and talk in a loud voice, there’s no one who recognizes me.”
She went on to reveal another funny story: “Recently before my comeback stage, I was greeting my fellow idols roughly when I injured my toenail and was sent to the emergency room in full makeup and my stage outifit. Even then, the nurse didn’t realize I was an After School member and asked me if I was participating in a talent show.”
Super Junior’s Kyuhyun also shared a similar experience, “I ran into two foreign trainees at my company, and I found it strange when they asked me about my nationality. One time while I was having lunch with the other Super Junior members, I received an eye signal from one of the trainees to not sit with the other members. I later realized that those foreign trainees didn’t know I was a Super Junior member. What’s more, I was wearing full makeup at the time.”

Tak Jae Hoon has been revealed to be of the same age as After School member Kaeun’s father.
On the July 16 broadcast of Mnet ”Beatles Code 2,” After School will be making their special guest appearance on the show.
In the recent filming of the TV show, everyone on set could not hide their surprise when Kaeun revealed that her father is the same as MC Tak Jae Hoon.
After this fact was revealed, Kaeun went on to call Tak Jae Hoon “Daddy,” and he replied, “Go in and study. Let me talk to your mother,” making everyone laugh.

After Kahi’s departure, the leader spot remained empty with many of the After School members eyeing it.
Aired on July 16, Mnet’s The Beatles Code 2 invited the After School members and asked them what they would do if they became the new leader of After School.
Lizzy, being one of the youngest in the group, said she’ll use her charisma to control the unnies in the group. She then executed this plan, but yelling in a loud booming voice, making everyone burst out laughing.
Up next, Nana revealed that if she was chosen as the leader, she’ll be open-minded and not mess with the members’ private lives and practice times, which the other After School members were excited about, chanting Nana’s name.
Then Shindong requested an open-minded expression. Once Nana posed, everyone began to laugh, not knowing how to react. Then the MCs asked for an expression that showed her mind was full of thoughts.

On the July 17th broadcast of SBS ‘Strong Heart‘, After School member Jung Ah shocked the other guests on set when she revealed, “There was once a female fan who got on her knees and proposed to me. She asked me to marry her.”
Fellow member Lizzy who has also had her share of bizarre run-ins with a few die-hard fans then added, “There was once a Japanese fan who had my name tattooed on their body.”
Hearing this, MC Shin Dong Yup then remarked, “There could be another tattoo somewhere else on their body,” causing his co-host Lee Dong Wook to hilariously chime in, “They could possibly have ‘Jung Ah’ tattooed on their backside.”

After School’s new leader Jung Ah, recently opened up about the income of members of After School.
In the episode of SBS’s Strong Heart that aired on July 17 at 11:15 p.m., Super Junior’s Kyu Hyun and Shindong, f(X)’s Victoria, After School’s Jung Ah and Lizy, and some other acts appeared and provided some lively entertainment.
Super Junior’s Kyu Hyun revealed that his income is in the top four among his group members. His candid statement received a lot of attention.
After Kyu Hyun’s remark, the emcees of the show expressed great curiosity about the rankings of After School members by their income. On the July 17th broadcast of SBS ‘Strong Heart‘, After School member Jung Ah revealed her ideal type. “I have a lot of younger dongsengs around me, so I would like a dependable younger man for a boyfriend,” she said.
Fellow group member Lizzy who calmly listened to Jung Ah explain her ideal type suddenly blurted, “She is an expert when it comes to younger men!”
Despite looking a bit taken aback by Lizzy’s remark, the 29 year old Jung Ah admitted that she once even received a love confession from a young 19 year old.
She then revealed, “I once dated a guy 7 years younger than me,” shocking everyone on set. “As long as he is not a minor, I am open to dating a younger man.”

Jung-A of After School appeared on July 16’s episode of Mnet’s The Beatles Code 2 and shared the story about her first love.
She shared that she met her first boyfriend at age 20 through a friend. As it was her first relationship, she wasn’t a very good girlfriend and ended up breaking up with him.
The MCs asked if she knows what to do in a relationship now, and Jung-A confidently stated that she does and then winked at the camera, surprising everyone.
The MCs got excited and asked “Is this a mission with your boyfriend?” and “Did you tell your boyfriend you would do this on The Beatles Code?”
Tak Jae Hoon took it a step further and briefly talked about his relationships, while winking both eyes repeatedly. He said it was because there was too much dust in the air.
Jung-A continued to talk about how she was a bad girlfriend and broke off the relationship first, only feel his empty spot soon later. But by then, her boyfriend turned bad and she was unable to ask him to come back. [Credit: enewsworld]
