News: 100 Entertainment Industry Staff Select Idols with the Most Beautiful Real-Life Appearance

In the July 10 broadcast of MBC Music’s Show Champion 100 staff workers in the entertainment industry, including camera crew, sound crew, stage crew, lighting and more, were surveyed over the course of a month asking ‘Which female idol group has the most beautiful real life appearance?’

The results of the survey showed SNSD coming in first with those surveyed commenting, “When they’re on stage, they shine”, “SNSD is a wall no one can overcome” and “Their beauty really is the best.”

Coming in behind SNSD was After School in second place, HelloVenus in third and f(x) in fourth in the same ranking.

A separate survey was also done asking the entertainment staff members to vote on the male idol group with the best real life appearance. The results of that survey will be revealed on the July 17 episode of Show Champion.

SNSD ALWAYS WILL WIN~~~ i think it’s a mental thing in most Korean’s (as in living there) minds. Someone will beat them someday and everyone’s mind will be BLOWN~~ (and maybe they’ll get all defensive like, ‘we had no idea’)

all the groups to the side!! Pledis girls are on the way!!

  11. I don’t care about idols being beautiful or not. But it must be true. I just was downloading a Pledis and an AS app for my cell-phone, and when I started making it work, my friend asked me who they were, because all the girls were really pretty. She saw Kahi and said she was so beautiful. She’s a straight girl, for the record… I won’t say what she said after seeing NU’EST… and I didn’t dare showing her HV… because Pledis has such a thing for finding talented but over-pretty idols.

    • mim0sa says:

And 22 comments for this post :D not bad, huh…

Yessss, Pledis is one of the agncies around with good-looking ppl artistes.
      And the ones with TALENTS.
Their artistes are jst so all-rounder, don u think?
For the record, i think.la – Pledis’ artistes r recognised for their credibility. Unlike mst idols garnering alot of huu-haas, pimarily for their looks. If not all, MOST.

      • They just try to do things according to their current budgets. That’s all. Han Sung Soo seems to be pretty impressed by several Japanese entertainment CEO’s and creatives, and he’s tried his best to take their ideas to work on his agency. He started out with two pretty girls out of casuality: they were old friends from his time as a dancer. Then, I guess they do have a thing to select beautiful but talented people. What I like from AS is that the group is meant to have variated talents, meaning not all the girls need to be that good at singing, but can have other talents such as modeling or acting… but for their other projects, it’s been tough, because they actually wanted people who could sing properly and dance, while they turned out to be all damn pretty.

Also, Pledis emphasizes the freedom of their idols. They allow them to date, because they want them to experience life, and they also encourage them to be active in the creative process. Whether is writting lyrics, or helping for concept. It was thanx to that freedom that a concept like Bang! was born. The track was there already, but Kahi had the whole drumline idea, and they pushed that back.

When they were modeling the boys, they dropped a lot of ideas, but NU’EST turned out to be more than a male mirror to the first concept AS used. At the end, the rumored answer song to Ah never appeared, but the concept for FACE was great, and they said the boys helped to create that. They buy a lot of tracks to foreign producers, so when they remake the lyrics, most of the times, they let their idols to get involved. So far, Kahi, Raina, Bekah (her raps), Baekho, JR… and others have collaborated putting verses or writting whole songs. Is like Nana’s first solo for the previous OC come back, it was a gift Kahi gave her. It was her decision.

When Kahi was preparing for her solo debut, she kept pushing it back because she wanted to chose the right track for her. And Son Dambi wanted to be in Lights and Shadows, so she decided to push back her come back. I suspect that other agencies wouldn’t been that permisive, and even would had make Dambi release her come back stuff during her drama. But that’s just different choices. I don’t want to say which systems are better or worse. I like to just look at the results and decide by myself if I like it or not.

Of course, sometimes some agencies seem to wrong their talents. But Pledis just tries its best, and even with its own mistakes, they have proved after 3 years that they could make it, even if they cannot still oversell.

        • honey says:

wow! I like so much about your opinion :D jang!

          • mim0sa says:

I know! Okada has potential in joining Pledis. I donno – if not as an artise, u can b ‘behind the scene’. I appreciate ur in-depth insights into Pledis’ operational concept :)

            Ur good!

  12. nachoozz says:

  13. Sushie says:

Gosh I really think those staff members are biased -_-
oh well at least Pledis girls took the two spots in the top 3 :)

    • Mia says:

Yeah, its probably customary for the managers to pick the groups from the big ent. companies ’cause they want stick to the status quo :( .
But hey yay for AS and HV making in the top 3 :) . I always thought Pledis was a company full of models, even the boys are pretty :) .
